I got this book as my February “Book of the Month” from the book club I belong too and holy bananas this book was a page turner! I think I finished this book in two days. I literally was yelling in my head at one of the characters. This book was about a crazy love triangle involving a wife, doctor and mistress who was a secretary. Chance encounters, drama and messed up intentions bring all three together. When you think you know where the story is going or how its going to end, the plot twists! I was definitely kept at the edge of my seat with this one.

Found this gem on sale at The Christmas Tree Shop, one of my favorite stores ever. This book is basically about the terrifying shark attacks of 1916 which was the influence for the movie Jaws. Not gonna lie I was quite terrified to read this book since I have a huge fear of being attacked by a shark. I was never a fan of swimming in rivers, and its doubtful you’ll ever see me in one again after reading this book!
Anyhow ,what I liked most about this book was that it was full of Jersey Shore history! (I do love my history) It mentions how the Jersey Shore became a place for rest for people, which hotels they stayed at, how bathing costumes came about etc. The most interesting fact to me was the evidence of the worlds first shark attack dating back to seven hundred years before Christ, found on pottery in the Italian island of Ischia, a place I have been too! If you are from Jersey, like history and the Jersey shore I highly recommend this book.
Dark Secrets by: Michael Hjorth & Hans Rosenfeldt
I purchased this book on sale at ShopRite over the past summer but never got around to reading it. I love to watch ID investigates and any show that has to do with solving crime. If I could handle blood and gore I think I would have made a great detective. This book is about solving a murder mystery which takes place in Sweden full of twist and turns. Right when you think you know who the killer is, new information is found, and your looking in a new direction. Towards the end of the book I literally was at the edge of my seat reading….I was totally shocked on who the killer was and never saw it coming. I do not want to give too much away, but lets just say when I read the last line of the book I literally said out loud “no way!”
I did like that the book took place in somewhere that I have never been which sparked my imagination. This book is a little long but its nicely written and easy to follow when you pick up where you left off. Dark Secrets was a page turner for sure!
