I have always loved to read about history, so when this book was an option for my book of the month club it obviously was my first choice. This is my first book I have read discussing the American Indians and the injustice they faced on American soil. It covered the Osage tribe and the suspicious murders that took place during the early 20th century. It also discussed the birth of the FBI. It was a page turner for sure and I must say this will not be my last book regarding American Indian history and the Wild West.

Found this gem on sale at The Christmas Tree Shop, one of my favorite stores ever. This book is basically about the terrifying shark attacks of 1916 which was the influence for the movie Jaws. Not gonna lie I was quite terrified to read this book since I have a huge fear of being attacked by a shark. I was never a fan of swimming in rivers, and its doubtful you’ll ever see me in one again after reading this book!
Anyhow ,what I liked most about this book was that it was full of Jersey Shore history! (I do love my history) It mentions how the Jersey Shore became a place for rest for people, which hotels they stayed at, how bathing costumes came about etc. The most interesting fact to me was the evidence of the worlds first shark attack dating back to seven hundred years before Christ, found on pottery in the Italian island of Ischia, a place I have been too! If you are from Jersey, like history and the Jersey shore I highly recommend this book.
So anyone who knows me knows I LOVE to read. My nightstand is piled high with books I can’t wait to read. Books comfort me. I have quite the library. I love getting books as presents. Every Christmas I usually get around 10 so that lasts me until the spring if I am lucky. I read a little bit of everything but am a huge fan of history anything related to yoga and biographies. Below are just a few of my favorites from 2015.
