Quick update on the YTT program I will be part of starting October 13th! Super excited to let you guys know I am teaching the Yin section of this teacher training program hosted by my friend (and awesome Yogi) Steph! If you are looking to strengthen your practice or have been playing around with the idea of becoming a yoga teacher but are not sure where to begin, because for real, finding a YTT can be extremely confusing and overwhelming, this is the program for you! What sets this teacher training apart from the others? You will learn and be certified to teach different styles of yoga such as chair, yin, vinyasa and pre-natal. By having knowledge in multiple areas, instead of just one, will help set you apart in the vastly growing yoga community. Hope to see you there!
I am beyond excited to kick this series off this weekend! What to expect? Detox the body, feel more energized, healthy, flexible and less stressed. Sign up for my 6 week Yin series- a holistic approach for proper organ function. You can sign up for one or all the classes. In each class we will be working on 2 of the 12 meridian channels. I incorporate the use of oils and mediation and will give you the tools you need to start or strengthen your meditation practice….how to calm the mind, leaving the to do lists at the door, focusing on yourself and only yourself. Remember when we feel great others around us will feel your vibes. The series begins on Saturday January 7th at 9:30 am at Breathe Life Sangha in Toms River NJ. Hope to see you on the mat! http://www.breathelifesangha.com/
Below is a journal entry from the day I graduated from my Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training and I smile every time I read it. Just a little reminder that we can do anything we put our mind too. Give yourself more credit. Breathe through your fears….and love yourself.
February 15, 2015: I have never in my life worked harder at anything then this. It was not just about physical strength on a mat doing fancy poses. It was the chain of events that brought me to this moment. Moving, leaving my career for the unknown, facing fears of going to a far away place away from all of my loved ones. Can I really do this physically and mentally? I’m older I should be thinking about settling down and most importantly facing the same question everyday…WTF am I doing with my life. Well it was worth it. I have pushed my body physically when it would not move, mentally when I could not think and embraced the unknown with open arms. I would not have been able to do this without the love of my family, friends, yogi family here in Bali and all my amazing yoga teachers in my life. Most importantly I realized here none of this would be possible without the love I have given myself for being brave and taking the biggest leap of faith to follow dreams..not ideas. Thank you to my teachers for bringing that out in me.
Thank you universe for my life. Thank you for my amazing friends and neighbors..old and new who make life fun, have my back and always make me laugh. Thank you for my amazing family who have been my rock and I love you to the moon and back. Sometimes I panic and think life is too good….I am too happy….something bad is going to happen. In these moments I am thankful for my yoga practice, which grounds me and comforts me and puts my mind at ease. Yoga has made my life easy. Thank you universe for putting yoga in my path. Thank you universe for my health and courage. If I did not have courage, I would not have traveled to all the places I have traveled to this year, and met all the beautiful souls I met along the way. Thank you for my journey. Thank you for putting me exactly where I need to be, when I need to be there. Thank you for teaching me a very important lesson this year….always trust the universe…it has plans for you that maybe you do not see at the time, but were exactly right for you. Thank you universe for my students, each and every one…they are so special to me. Most importantly thank you to my sister for not only introducing me to Yoga, which has changed my life for the better….thank you for giving me the best gift of all…..My little piccolina. Since you have come into my world, my heart has never felt so full. My favorite time of day is when I get to see you, and your my favorite napping partner. I love you more then you could ever know forever and for always. I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving full of lots of love and laughter. Try and meditate today for a few moments and reflect on what you have to be grateful for, even if it is just one thing.
